PENGARUH KOMPOSISI MEDIA TANAM PADA BERBAGAI JENIS VARIETAS SAWI TERHADAP KUALITAS DAN HASIL

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of the composition of the growing media on the quality and yield of various types of mustard varieties, and to obtain the appropriate composition of the growing media for each mustard variety. The research was carried out from 10 December 2021 to 25 January 2022 at the Yogyakarta Agricultural Institute (Intan) laboratory.
The study used a factorial treatment design which was arranged in a completely randomized design environment. The first factor is the composition of the growing media, consisting of 4 levels, namely: soil + cow manure (1:1/v:v), soil + husk charcoal (1:1/v:v), soil + eggshell has been destroyed (1 :1/v:v), soil + bamboo leaf fertilizer enriched (1:1/v:v). The second factor is the various types of mustard varieties, which consist of: varieties of green pakchoy, white pakchoy, mustard greens, each repeated 3 times. The components observed included plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, fresh weight of plants, fresh weight of plants without roots, weight of agar and leaf color. The data obtained from the results of the study were analyzed using analysis of variance, if there was a significant to very significant effect, then continued with Duncan's multiple distance test at the 5% level. Specifically for the color quality data described.
The conclusion from the research results that there is an interaction between planting media and mustard varieties in influencing growth and yield. Soil planting media + crushed eggshell (1:1/v:v) provided optimum growth and yields for mustard greens
INTISARI
Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi komposisi media tanam terhadap kualitas dan hasil berbagai jenis varietas sawi, serta mendapatkan komposisi media tanam yang sesuai untuk masing masing varietas sawi. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 10 Desember 2021 sampai dengan 25 Januari 2022 di laboratorium Institut Pertanian (Intan) Yogyakarta.
Penelitian menggunakan rancangan perlakuan faktorial yang disusun dalam rancangan lingkungan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Faktor pertama adalah komposisi media tanam, terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu: tanah + pupuk kandang sapi (1:1/v:v), tanah + arang sekam (1:1/v:v), tanah + cangkang telur sudah dihancurkan (1:1/v:v), tanah + pupuk daun bambu diperkaya (1:1/v:v). Faktor kedua yaitu berbagai jenis varietas sawi, yang terdiri dari: varietas pakchoy hijau, pakchoy putih, sawi hijau, masing masing diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Komponen yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, lebar daun, berat segar tanaman, berat segar tanaman tanpa akar, berat agar dan warna daun. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam, apabila terjadi pengaruh nyata sampai dengan sangat nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan pada taraf 5%. Khusus untuk data kualitas warna dideskripsikan.
Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian bahwa terdapat interaksi antara media tanam dan varietas sawi dalam mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan hasil. Media tanam tanah tanah + cangkang telur yang sudah dihancurkan (1:1/v:v) memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil yang optimum pada sawi hijau.
