PENGARUH PUPUK NPK DAN ASAL LOKASI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN TUNAS TANAMAN MALAPARI (Pongamia pinnata L.) PASCA PEMANGKASAN KE-2 DI PERSEMAIAN

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction between the dose of NPK fertilizer and the origin of Malapary seedlings on shoot growth. The research was carried out from July to September 2019 at the Research Center for Biotechnology and Forest plant Breeding located at Purwobinangun Village, Pakem District, Sleman Regency , Yogyakarta..
The study used factorial treatment design arranged in completely randomized design. The first factor was the dose of NPK fertilizer, consisting of 4 levels: without NPK fertilizer, NPK doses of 2,5 grams, 5 gramss and 7,5 gram per plant. The second factor is regional origin, consisting of 2 levels: from Ujung kulon (Banten) and Batu Karas (Pangandaran). Variabels observed included: number, height and diameter of shoots, and number of leaves. The data obtained was analysed for variances at the 5% level, if there was a significant difference between the treatments a further test was carried out with Duncan’a Multiple Range Test at the 5% level.
The resukts showed that: there was no interaction effect between the dose of NPK fertilizer and the origin of the plant seedling on the growth of Malapary seedlings in the nursery. The dose of NPK fertilizer has no significant effect on shoot growth, but shows increasing trend at the dose of 2,5 grams per plant. Malapary seedling from Ujung Kulon gave higher shoot height and more leaves then from Batu Karas.
